Hey I found this really cool plugin for Wordpress users that will be a big help for my fellow Catholic bloggers. It’s called the Catholic Reference plugin and it turns references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Bible into clickable or hoverable links that will show you the text of the reference. There are options for styling the results through CSS and through the options panel for the plugin. The author, from Catholicism Computes, has provided references for other publicly available bible translations including the NAB, NIV, KJV, NJB, and the Greek Vulgate.

This plugin is in active development and the author seems open to suggestions so if you’re a Catholic blogger using Wordpress, make sure you check this one out!

See it in action:

CCC 750
¶750 To believe that the Church is "holy" and "catholic," and that she is "one" and "apostolic" (as the Nicene Creed adds), is inseparable from belief in God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the Apostles' Creed we profess "one Holy Church" (Credo . . . Ecclesiam), and not to believe in the Church, so as not to confuse God with his works and to attribute clearly to God's goodness all the gifts he has bestowed on his Church.
